Project of row village in RW 08 Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village (RBS), Koja, North Jakarta, is finally canceled . Because, the distance between houses is too far, the row village can not be forced to be constructed.

We have informed the house condition to construction consultant if RW 08 is not possible for the project. Residents would like to home makeover, if the row village failed

Suharjo, Headman of Rawa Badak Selatan Urban Village said, besides of the distance that is still separated, the houses condition in RW 08 are not prevalent. Some houses seem luxurious and some of the seem slums. It is difficult to make it prevalent. "The residents whose house is good do not want rehab, while the residents whose house is bad want it," Suharjo said, Wednesday (4/23).

"We have informed the house condition to construction consultant if RW 08 is not possible for the project. Residents would like to home makeover, if the row village failed," Suharjo added.

Ali Patta, North Jakarta Head Sub-Dept. of Public Housing and Government Building, admitted the same thing. House condition and land status become constraint of the project. Besides RW 08 Rawa Badak Selatan, RW 12 Tanjung Priok Urban Village has similar matter.

"The cancellation total from both urban village to be included in other areas to meet our target," Patta stated.

The sub-department, Patta added, planned to build 1,770 houses as row village in six sub-districts in North Jakarta. Those are Penjaringan Urban Village, Papanggo, Warakas, Pademangan Barat, Tanjung Priok, Rawa Badak Selatan, Tugu Utara, Kali Baru, and Cilincing Urban Village.
